Pathogen Identification Technology Platform

The Pathogen Identification Technology Platform is a specialized platform centered on nucleic acid testing technology, integrating pathogen detection and identification technology development with genomic genetic analysis. By utilizing advanced technologies such as high-throughput sequencing and digital PCR, precise detection and classification of pathogens, including bacteria and viruses, can be achieved. In addition, in-depth genetic analyses, such as genomic evolution and drug resistance mutations, are conducted on specific pathogens. The platform combines efficient screening and research support capabilities, providing crucial technical support for infectious disease control, emergency response to outbreaks, and pathogen mutation monitoring, while facilitating accurate pathogen identification and traceability studies. Currently, the platform is equipped with a total of 10 devices, including: Illumina Miseq sequencer, NanoPore Mion sequencer, Hamilton Nimbus automated workstation, Roche MagNA automated nucleic acid extraction workstation, 10X Genomics single-cell library construction system, Naica Crystal automated droplet digital PCR system, and high-performance computing cluster.
