Pharmacy Department

The Department of Pharmacy of Beijing Ditan Hospital is a core functional unit integrating pharmaceutical supply assurance, pharmaceutical services, and scientific research and education. Leveraging its specialized advantages in infectious diseases, the Department implements a trinity development philosophy of "quality assurance, specialized preparations, and innovative pharmacy," dedicated to building a disciplinary system characterized by "pharmacy as the foundation, technology as the wings, and innovation as the soul."

The Department establishes a comprehensive pharmaceutical service ecosystem supported by three pillars: rational medication management, precision pharmaceutical services, and scientific innovation. In rational medication management, it has developed a closed-loop medication safety system covering the entire process through dual-track mechanisms (AI-powered full-prescription review combined with manual verification), specialized evaluations of key medications, scientific antimicrobial stewardship, and patient medication education. For precision pharmaceutical services, the Department employs therapeutic drug monitoring to formulate individualized dosing regimens for complex cases, dynamically adjusting dosages to balance efficacy and toxicity. the Department also operates medication therapy management and medication reconciliation clinics, establishing a full-course precision pharmaceutical service system that encompasses medication history tracking, efficacy-toxicity dynamic assessment, and physiological-behavioral multidimensional interventions.

Staffed with high-level public health technical talents from Beijing, TCM(Traditional Chinese Medicine) backbone personnel, and young talents recognized by the China Association of Chinese Medicine, the Department follows a "clinical origin - experimental validation - clinical application" research pathway. It focuses on two major scientific directions: clinical pharmacology of anti-HIV/hepatopathy drugs and integrated Chinese-Western medicine strategies for drug-resistant bacterial infections. Breakthroughs have been achieved in areas such as TCM immunomodulation mechanisms and anti-drug-resistant bacteria strategies, earning multiple honors including the First Prize for Science and Technology Progress from the China Ethnic Medicine Association, the Young Innovative Talent Award from the China Association of Chinese Medicine, and the Outstanding Young Scholar Award at the 18th Pharmaceutical Development Awards.
