Emergency Department

The Emergency Department of Beijing Ditan Hospital integrates emergency rescue for critically ill patients with screening and monitoring of infectious diseases. Equipped with advanced emergency medical equipment, the Department can meet the treatment needs of various critical patients, providing 24/7 emergency care throughout the year. It features specialized emergency green channels including a Chest Pain Center, Stroke Center, Critical Maternal Green Channel, and Emergency Endoscopy Center. Whether dealing with cardiac arrest, acute cardiovascular/cerebrovascular diseases, acute gastrointestinal bleeding, liver failure, trauma, critical maternal conditions, or emerging infectious diseases, the Department can make rapid and accurate diagnoses and implement appropriate treatments.

While prioritizing emergency care, the Department actively engages in health education and prevention initiatives. It houses AHA (American Heart Association) and ESC (European Society of Cardiology) certified CPR training centers, offering public courses on cardiopulmonary resuscitation to disseminate emergency knowledge and health literacy, thereby enhancing public self-protection capabilities and first-aid skills. Concurrently, the Department conducts regular emergency drills and professional training programs to improve medical staff's emergency response competencies.

As a member of the Emergency Medicine Department of Capital Medical University, the Department has participated in or led over ten scientific research projects including the National Key Research and Development Program, Beijing Science & Technology Planning Project, Capital Initial Project, Hospital Navigation Plan, and Seedling Program. Academic achievements include publication of over ten high-impact SCI-indexed papers, more than 20 core journal articles, editing or co-editing 2 research monographs, and 1 authorized patent.
