Medical Records and Statistics Department

The Department of Medical Records and Statistics is primarily responsible for the collection, sorting, registration, coding, scanning, archival storage, photocopying, retrieval, and statistical analysis of inpatient medical records across the hospital. It also assists the Medical Affairs Department in terminal quality control of medical records. The Department serves clinical care, medical education, scientific research, and hospital management, while providing necessary medical record information services to patients, insurance providers, and other stakeholders.

Through years of development, the Department has gradually transitioned from traditional management to information-driven practices. The Hospital Information System enables real-time tracking and status monitoring of all inpatient medical records. The terminal quality control system for medical records ensures timely feedback on quality issues, thereby enhancing record accuracy. A digital management system facilitates paperless borrowing and access to medical records. The Department is ongoing in its efforts to refine intelligent quality control for electronic medical records and advance electronic archiving processes.

With the advancement of medical record informatization, the Department will focus on ICD coding, intelligent quality control of medical records, electronic archiving, DRGs analysis, medical data mining, and clinical research statistics to support the hospital's high-quality development.
