Cardiovascular Medicine

The Department of Cardiovascular Medicine at Beijing Ditan Hospital, Capital Medical University - established in 2010 and recognized as a National Key Clinical Specialty in Cardiovascular Medicine (2023) - stands at the forefront of integrated cardiovascular care in China by synergizing cutting-edge clinical practice, translational research, and multidisciplinary education to deliver patient-centered excellence across the spectrum of cardiovascular disorders. Our tertiary referral center pioneers precision-guided minimally invasive therapies for complex coronary interventions (CTO, LM+bifurcation lesions), rhythm management (3D mapping-guided ablation, leadless pacemakers), structural heart interventions (TAVR, TEER, PFO/ASD closure), aortic syndrome management (TEVAR), and hybrid approaches for cardio-infectious comorbidities (HIV-related CVD, viral myocarditis). Nationally recognized subspecialty units include our 24/7 Chest Pain Center with a regional golden-hour emergency network achieving 98% rate of STEMI door-to-balloon times under 90 minutes; the Cardiac Rehabilitation Institute implementing AI-guided personalized protocols through its Precision Recovery Program; and the Cardio-Infectious Disease Unit shaping national guidelines for cardiovascular complications in HIV/HBV/HCV patients. Academic leadership encompasses 12 projects funded by National Natural Science Foundation, 14 high-impact SCI publications (with an average IF of 6.2), 3 patented interventional devices, and training programs for the Asia-Pacific Society of Interventional Cardiology. Technological advancements feature a robotic-assisted PCI platform, hybrid OR with fusion imaging, wearable ECG cloud monitoring, and AI-driven risk stratification. We are redefining cardiovascular care through the integration of humanitarian values, technological innovation, and evidence-based medicine to provide world-class, personalized treatment addressing each patient's unique biological and psychosocial needs.
