Tumor Intervention Department
The Tumor Intervention Department of Beijing Ditan Hospital is one of the earliest units in China to carry out interventional therapies for benign and malignant tumors and peripheral blood vescular diseases. In 2019, it was awarded the title of National Ablation Training Base and integrates medical treatment, teaching, and scientific research.
The Department boasts a well-structured academic team and has achieved multiple research breakthroughs. Leveraging the hospital’s platform and the National Center for Infectious Diseases, it has established a systematic treatment model for hepatitis-cirrhosis-liver cancer. Its key services include liver biopsy for hepatitis diseases, splenic artery embolization, gastric coronary vein embolization, and transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt (TIPS) for cirrhosis/decompensated cirrhosis, and personalized surgical protocols encompassing biopsy, hepatic artery chemoembolization, microwave ablation for benign/malignant liver tumors, and comprehensive treatment regimens for advanced liver cancer. Additionally, the Department excels in abdominal angiography, lower extremity venous thrombosis treatment, obstructive jaundice-related procedures, and uterine artery embolization (with the collaboration of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology). It also leads domestically in local microwave ablation for pulmonary ground-glass nodules in lung cancer treatment.
