Catheterization Unit

The Catheterization Unit established in November 2022 is a platform department for conducting interventional therapies at Beijing Ditan Hospital. There are three DSA(Digital Subtraction Angiography) catheter operating rooms and one CT interventional operating room, equipped with advanced equipment such as GE Optima IGS Ultra DSA, PHILIPS Azurion 5M20 DSA, intravascular ultrasound imaging diagnosis system and three-dimensional electrophysiological mapping system in the department, which makes interventional treatments more reliable, safe, and accurate.

The Department is composed of experienced and skilled technicians and nursing teams. It cooperates with the clinical departments of the hospital to develop minimally invasive surgical techniques and expand the business scope of the clinical departments. With the rapid development of interventional medicine, interventional therapies have become the preferred therapeutic methods for many diseases. At present, the Department can routinely perform cardiovascular interventional therapies, neurointerventional therapies, peripheral vascular interventional therapies and non-vascular system interventional therapies. Among them, the cardiovascular interventional therapies include coronary angiography, emergency PCI therapy for acute myocardial infarction, elective coronary stent implantation, permanent pacemaker implantation or replacement therapy, cardiac radiofrequency ablation, etc; the neurointerventional therapies include cerebral angiography, intracranial aneurysm embolization, mechanical thrombectomy for cerebral infarction, cerebral vascular malformation, chronic occlusion and opening of cerebral blood vessels, etc; the peripheral vascular interventional therapies include hepatic angiography, inferior vena cava filter implantation/removal, etc; and the non-vascular system interventional therapies include CT-guided chest biopsy, CT-guided liver biopsy, CT-guided liver lesion radiofrequency ablation, CT-guided liver lesion microwave ablation, fallopian tube imaging, etc.
