The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Beijing Ditan Hospital, established in 1992, is a traditional specialty discipline integrating medical care, education, research, and prevention. Boasting six specialized outpatient services, it offers meticulously tailored precise diagnosis and treatment to meet the diverse needs of patients. It holds membership in the Obstetrics and Gynecology of Peking University Health Science Center and functions as a clinical teaching unit of Capital Medical University, hosting a master's program training site for the latter institution.

Since its inception, the Department has unwaveringly adhered to a "patient-centered" philosophy, consistently delivering accurate medical services to women with obstetric and gynecological conditions. It excels in the screening, monitoring, and treatment of high-risk pregnancies, as well as the diagnosis and management of pregnancy complications and comorbidities. Notably, it has been at the forefront of pioneering systematic and standardized treatment models, advanced prognostic evaluation strategies, and innovative research frameworks specifically designed to prevent mother-to-child transmission of blood-borne diseases, such as hepatitis B, syphilis, and HIV during pregnancy, with its expertise ranking among the best nationally.

In the field of gynecology, the Department provides comprehensive diagnosis and treatment for a wide range of conditions，including benign/malignant tumors, pelvic floor disorders, and endocrine diseases. Minimally invasive techniques, including hysteroscopic, laparoscopic, vaginal, and pelvic floor surgeries, are prioritized. Day surgery protocols optimize efficiency, reducing hospitalization time while ensuring patient safety and convenience. In the realm of academic and research endeavors, the Department has undertaken national-level research projects and participated in international/domestic multicenter clinical drug trials. Its academic contributions include over 40 SCI-indexed papers, more than 120 core journal publications, 11 research topics at national, ministerial, Beijing-municipal, and institutional levels; 4 utility patents; and authorship/co-authorship of 9 obstetrics and gynecology books.
