Medical Oncology
The Department of Medical Oncology at Beijing Ditan Hospital, established in 2008, has accumulated extensive clinical experience in the diagnosis and treatment of various tumors. Its scope of practice and expertise cover hepatobiliary malignancies, gastrointestinal tumors, thoracic tumors, gynecological tumors, and central nervous system malignancies, among others, with a particular strength in combining minimally invasive therapies with systemic cancer treatments. The department has been designated as a Demonstration Base for Standardized Training in the Diagnosis and Treatment of Primary Liver Cancer and a National Training Base for Tumor Ablation Techniques.
The department boasts a team of thermal ablation experts and implements a multidisciplinary team (MDT) model, serving not only in-hospital patients but also providing nationwide consultations, and exerts significant influence in the field of hepatobiliary oncology. It has completed one sub-project under the 13th Five-Year Plan of China, undertaken three provincial/ministerial-level research projects, participated in two National Key Research and Development Programs of China, and is currently conducting three additional provincial/ministerial-level research initiatives. Certified as an Oncology Pharmacology Base, the department has led or participated in four clinical trials for novel drugs and cellular therapies, and is conducting an Investigator-Initiated Trial(IIT) on TCR-T therapy. The department's goal is to establish itself as a Beijing-regional Precision Diagnosis and Treatment Demonstration Center for Liver Cancer.
