Beijing Ditan Hospital Collaborates with JD Health to Launch the "Quick Home Test" Service Connecting the 'Last Mile' of Respiratory Pathogen Test

On April 10, Beijing Ditan Hospital affiliated with Capital Medical University and JD Health officially reached a cooperation agreement, jointly launching the first "Online ordering - on-site sampling - quick test - online report checking" full chain respiratory pathogen nucleic acid testing service in Beijing. This service creates a 3-hour precise diagnosis loop, allowing citizens to enjoy high-quality testing resources from top-tier hospitals without leaving their homes. While achieving efficient and accurate diagnosis, it can also effectively avoid cross-infection and safeguard family health.

Traditional tests have problems such as complex processes and long waiting times, which are particularly inconvenient for groups such as children and the elderly, "said Prof. Wang Yajie, director of the Laboratory Department of Beijing Ditan Hospital. The hospital, in collaboration with JD Health, has launched the "Quick Home Test" model, covering six common respiratory pathogens including H1N1, Mycoplasma pneumoniae, and respiratory syncytial virus, and accurately identifying the causes through nucleic acid testing. After placing an order through JD Health, a staff member will take the samples and deliver them directly to the hospital laboratory. An electronic report will be issued within 3 hours, and the progress will be tracked online throughout the process, providing citizens with more efficient and convenient health management options.

As the National Center for Infectious Diseases Medicine (Beijing), Beijing Ditan Hospital holds expertise in respiratory pathogen detection. It has obtained ISO15189 laboratory accreditation, aligning its operations with international standards. The Hospital's rigorous quality control system ensures accurate and reliable test results. Its "1-Hour Rapid Testing Laboratory" can swiftly detect nucleic acids of six common pathogens including influenza A, influenza B, mycoplasma pneumoniae, and respiratory syncytial virus, enabling precise diagnosis. Upon sample arrival, the efficient specimen processing system initiates standardized procedures immediately to minimize errors, achieving both speed and accuracy.

Prof. Wang Yajie explained that the service establishes a 10-kilometer-radius testing network centered around the hospital. Leveraging JD Health's logistics and data management capabilities, the "Quick Home Test" Service provides timely and convenient medical services to community residents. Simultaneously, the technology enables real-time monitoring of regional pathogen trends and dynamic allocation of medical resources, creating a seamless integration of "targeted prevention—rapid diagnosis—hierarchical medical system." She revealed that the hospital will continue expanding testing services to make top-tier healthcare resources more accessible to every family.
